Elafonisi beach
A few meters beyond the usually quiet Kedrodasos is the popular Elafonisi. The blue-green waters, the pink sand and the incredible landscape with a strong dose of exoticism have catapulted the popularity of this particular beach, which does not exist like it in Greece. And if you find yourself in Crete, no matter how crowded it is, you have to go. The landscape is truly unique, reminiscent only of beaches in the Pacific.

Balos beach
Next to Balos is by far the most photographed and recently the busiest beach of Crete. Gramvousa, with the castle built by the Venetians, is a peninsula to the west of which stretches the magnificent beach of Balos, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean, awarded as one of the best in the world by TripAdvisor. Very fine white and red sand, shallow water and at some point a lagoon with clear turquoise water. To reach Gramvousa and the beach of Balos, you can take one of the boats that depart daily from the port of Kissamos (Kastelli). The beach of Balos is also accessible from land.

Voulisma beach
About 12 km southeast of Agios Nikolaos, on the road to Sitia, is Voulisma with its tropical waters, fine sand and green slopes.

Chrysi island
Chrysi is one of the 81 uninhabited islands of Crete and is about 8 nautical miles south of Ierapetra. A paradise on earth with blond and white sands, centuries-old cedars, seashells and tropical, turquoise waters that exhaust the entire range of the blue color palette.

Agiofarango
Agiofarango is located south of Heraklion prefecture, very close to Matala. A unique beach at the exit of a legendary canyon, which you walk half an hour from the nearest parking point to reach, or reach it by boat from Kalous Limenes.

Vai
East of Sitia, about 25 km from the city and 6 km from Palaikastro, on Cape Sidero, is the most famous beach of eastern Crete with the only palm forest in Europe, Vai. The setting is reminiscent of a tropical coast.

Falasarna beach
17 km from Kissamos (Kastelli), in the northwest of Crete, is the beautiful beach of Falasarna. Crystal waters and an endless sandy beach. The white and red color of the sand as well as the view of the imposing mountains that surround it make the landscape unique.
